The center trained 30 engineers and 60 youth to use the computers to operate on the information of the results of all the competitions, as well as to help indirectly the back pictures.

The center offers technical expertise to consultation to many governmental departments that wish to buy computers, through contribution in preparing conditions books, and checking the tenders. The center is ready to offer expertise to prepare administrative and scientific programs necessary for these establishments and departments, and to train workers to use these programs.

The center participates in many conferences, in the field of informatics. It also calls for symposia in this field. Among the most important symposia held, in this regard was the Regional Scientific Symposium about the use of informatics in development. That was done in collaboration with the Regional Office for Technological Sciences of the Arab Countries (ROSTAC) of the UNESCO.

The center has a good library with the remarkable collection of scientific references devoted to programming and informatics, in Arabic and other languages, in addition to its subscription in several periodicals, which it regularly receives.

The center is embarked on implementing the presidential Decree /152/, for 1997 which stipulates that informatics should be taught in the “undergraduate stage” in all the faculties, departments and institutes through preparing laboratories, distributing computers, preparing relevant syllabus, and providing faculties with the teaching staff.

The center is still following the recent development in the field of informatics and computers, through acquiring new computers and programs.
